Lock Haven Gears Up for First Responders Appreciation Final Friday on June 28
LOCK HAVEN — Calling all units! On June 28, Downtown Lock Haven, Inc. will be holding their First Responders Appreciation Final Friday beginning at 4 p.m.
Main Street will be filled with rescue, ladder, firetrucks and emergency service vehicles from Castanea, Dunnstown and the city of Lock Haven.
Kids will have the opportunity to take a closer look at the vehicles and learn more about the jobs of our first responders. Crew members will also lead discussions with children on “summer safety tips” and review what to do in an emergency.
“Friday night is a valuable opportunity to be able to serve the families in our community in a fun and interactive way, honor our first responders and support our local businesses,” DLH Manager Melissa Dally said.
The Clinton County Department of Emergency Services will also be collecting donations of water bottles and cases of Gatorade throughout the evening.
Bring the family downtown on Friday June 28 for a night of appreciation, shopping, dining and music. The street closure will run from 3–10 p.m. with First Responders downtown from 4-6 p.m.
“Downtown Lock Haven Inc is proud to collaborate with the Clinton County Department of Emergency Services to bring this event to Main Street in Lock Haven,” Dally said.
