LHU Field Hockey lands three on Academic All-District Team
LOCK HAVEN – Three members of the Lock Haven field hockey team have been named to the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division II Academic All-District Team.
Kelsey Felix (Hallam, Pa./Eastern York), Brooke Hofass (Hershey, Pa./Lower Dauphin) and Alexis Kern (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Twp.) were all named to the All-District Team.
The award, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Felix was the mainstay in cage for the Bald Eagles last season, where she started 17 games and totaled 99 saves, a 2.31 goals against average and five wins.
Hofass started 17 games at the midfield in 2023, where she led the team in points (19), goals (eight) and shots on goal (25), while also dishing out three assists in 1027 minutes.
Kern appeared in 17 games and started nine at forward as a redshirt sophomore. She found the back of the net twice and dished out two helpers, while recording one game-winning goal.
