RENOVO – Join the Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park and Pennsylvania Lumber Heritage Region representatives for the Lumber Heritage Region Diversity Project Unveiling Ceremony in Renovo at 11 AM on Friday, June 7. The public will learn more about the project study from LHR Executive Director, Holly Komonczi, and more information can be found here: https://lumberheritage.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/2023_Report.pdf

The organizations, in conjunction with Eagle Scouts Nick Mitchell and Logan Naspinski, Troop 370 of Bellefonte, will be present to explain the trails constructed as part of their Eagle Scout project requirements, and will give a guided tour of the camp using the trail. They also constructed bridges at the site, making the interpretive trail more accessible and traversable in all seasons.

The program will be brief and will conclude with the unveiling of the interpretive panel.

“We are grateful to the LHR team for this honor. We are also thankful to District Forester Greg Kisko, Angela Poleto, and the D-10 Sign Crew for installing the sign and preparing the site for this event,” said Lumber Heritage Region in a social media post.

The interpretive panel was installed at State Camp CCC camp S-76. The panel is being donated by the PA Lumber Heritage Region as part of its program celebrating diversity within the 15 counties that comprise the LHR.
