Retail Theft/Shoplifting

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar responded to Walmart in Mill Hall for a report of retail theft on May 12, 2024. Chris Miller, 64, from Jersey Shore, paid for over $300.00 worth of merchandise but neglected to pay for $27.82 worth of items after exiting all points of sale. Charges were prepared and filed through District Court 25-3-02.

Harassment w/Physical Contact

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – A 37-year-old female from Lock Haven was charged with harassment after spitting in the face of a cashier working at the Dollar General located in the Millbrook Plaza on May 11, 2024. Charges were filed through District Court 25-3-02.

GREENE TOWNSHIP – According to a report made by PSP Lamar, an incident involving road rage occurred along I-80 West in Greene Township on May 10, 2024. One of the involved individuals alleged that another individual pushed them on the side of the road before getting back in the vehicle and driving away. No further information was included in the police report.

Theft of Services

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar was notified of an individual who left Variety Buffet located on Hogan Boulevard in Mill Hall without paying for their food on May 9, 2024. The individual was located, but the restaurant owner(s) did not want to file charges.

Motor Vehicle Accident

LAMAR—On May 8, 2024, PSP Lamar responded to a collision on I-80 East near mile marker 181.6. According to the police report, one or both drivers in the center and left travel lanes drifted out of their lines and side-swiped each other, causing both vehicles to sustain minor cosmetic damage. Both drivers were reportedly traveling at 70 mph and wearing seat belts at the time of the collision, and no injuries were reported. The physical evidence of the incident consisted of cosmetic damage, indicating that a side-swipe collision occurred. However, no roadway markings were located on the scene, and conflicting interviews between both drivers could not be used to assign fault for the collision. One driver claimed that he was traveling in the center lane when the other vehicle side-swiped him, and the other driver reported that he was in the left lane when he was side-swiped as the other driver drifted into his lane. Neither driver was cited due to fault not being able to be assigned, however, police noted that the evidence suggests that a sideswipe collision did occur.

Harassment/Threats/Physical Contact

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – On May 5, 2024, at 1:48 p.m., PSP Lamar investigated a reported harassment in the area of Keystone Central Drive in Mill Hall. A known 17-year-old male actor threatened to subject another juvenile to physical harm. Charges were filed through District Court 25-3-02.

Motor Vehicle Accident

CASTANEA—On May 4, 2024, at approximately 7:41 p.m., a vehicle crash occurred when Matthew Rodgers, 37, from Lock Haven, was traveling off of SR-220 on the exit ramp to Lock Haven and failed to negotiate a right-hand curve. This caused him to leave the left side of the roadway and strike a tree. According to the report, police are uncertain as to whether Rodgers was injured in the crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Tressler’s.

Theft From Motor Vehicle

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– On May 4, 2024, at 4:57 p.m., PSP Lamar investigated an incident of theft from a 2021 Mazda CX-5 parked in the Mill Hall Walmart parking lot. The actor(s) stole a bouquet of flowers valued at $35.00 and a pair of prescription eyeglasses worth $135.00 from the victim, identified as a 76-year-old female from Lock Haven. According to the report, the vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft. This investigation is ongoing.

Two-Vehicle Crash

LAMAR TOWNSHIP– On May 4, 2024, a two-vehicle crash occurred on SR-220 North at the 107.1 mile marker. The crash occurred as the driver of a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 (Pickup) was moving from the right to the left lane and failed to notice a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze already in the left lane. Consequently, the driver of the Dodge Ram side-swiped the Chevrolet Cruze. Neither operator was injured, and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– PSP Lamar responded to Sheetz on Hogan Boulevard in Mill Hall for a report of an altercation between two customers on May 4, 2024, at 10:52 p.m. According to the police report, no charges were sought as a result of the incident.

Theft of Motor Vehicle

RENOVO – PSP Lamar received a report of a possible stolen motor vehicle on May 4, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. Further investigation determined that a registered owner of the vehicle, identified as a 2006 Ford Explorer, allowed a separate party to use it, and no crime had been committed. This investigation is closed.

Endangering the Welfare of a Child

WAYNE TOWNSHIP – On May 3, 2024, at 12:50 a.m., PSP Lamar initiated a traffic stop on SR-220 North near mile marker 115.1. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver, identified as a 27-year-old female from Lock Haven, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages while operating the vehicle with a small child present. Chemical testing was refused, and criminal charges are being filed through District Court 25-3-01.

Retail Theft/Shoplifting

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – A 19-year-old female from Lewistown was arrested for retail theft at Walmart in Mill Hall on May 3, 2024, at 1:19 p.m. The woman allegedly stole six retail items totaling $42.07. She was processed at the PA State Police Lamar barracks and released.

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – On May 2, 2024, at 2:36 p.m., Laura Roch, 40, from State College, did not pay for items after crossing all points of sale at Walmart in Mill Hall. Charges were prepared and filed through District Court 25-3-25 by Trooper Colton Killion.

Corruption of Minors

WAYNE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar received a Safe2Say tip regarding an inappropriate relationship between two individuals, one being a minor female, on May 1, 2024. The investigation determined that no crime had been committed.

Corruption of Minors

LOGAN TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar took a report of a possible Corruption of Minors incident that took place on Narrows Road sometime between April 15, 2024, and May 1, 2024, according to the police report. This investigation is ongoing.

Defiant Criminal Trespass

WAYNE TOWNSHIP– On April 28, 2024, PSP Lamar investigated a trespassing incident on Buttercup Lane that involved a dispute over boundary lines between two neighbors. Police determined that the incident was unfounded and that no crime had been committed. No charges were filed as a result of the incident.

Hit and Run

LOGAN TOWNSHIP – On April 19, 2024, at 03:24 p.m., the property owner of the Tylersville Cemetery contacted PA State Police-Lamar to report that their fence had been struck overnight. The location of the crash was at the intersection of Narrows Road and W. Valley Road in Logan Township. According to the police report, it was later discovered that a tractor-trailer, which had been in another vehicle crash, was responsible for the damage to the fence.

Hit and Run

PINE CREEK – A crash occurred on Sulphur Run Road near its intersection with Hemlock Ridge Road on March 31, 2024. Brian Browning, 65, from Jersey Shore, was traveling west on Sulphur Run Road while Chad Hooven, 46, from Jersey Shore, was traveling east and came into Browning’s lane of travel, forcing him to veer towards the shoulder of the lane. Hooven subsequently struck Browning’s driver’s side mirror with his own driver’s side mirror and then failed to stop and exchange information as required. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – A crash occurred on SR 664 (Coudersport Pike) near its intersection with Locks Avenue on March 31, 2024. The crash occurred as William Reish, 77, from Castanea, was traveling south on SR 664 and, for an unknown reason, left the north side of the roadway and struck an embankment. Reish traveled along the embankment for approximately 80 feet before his vehicle returned on to SR 664. He then traveled across the northbound lane and exited the roadway, where he traveled down an embankment approximately ten feet and came to a final rest after striking a tree. A 2021 Subaru Forester was legally parked in a driveway off the roadway, and it sustained minor damage as a result of Reish having driven down the embankment. Reish sustained injuries to his head and was transported by EMS to UPMC Williamsport.

Retail Theft/Shoplifting

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– On March 27, 2024, at 6:35 p.m., PSP Lamar Troopers investigated an incident of retail theft at Lowe’s in Mill Hall. Through their investigation, a suspect was identified. Through cooperation with Lowe’s, the suspect was given the opportunity to return to the store and pay for the stolen item, a Bosch GPL 100-50G 125 ft. self-leveling laser 5 beam valued at $219.00. Lowe’s declined to press charges for the incident.

DUI

LAMAR – PSP Lamar was dispatched for a report of a possible intoxicated driver on Long Run Road in Lamar Township on March 24, 2024, at 8:10 p.m. Upon arrival at the scene, the arrestee, identified as a 30-year-old male from Mill Hall, was observed in the vehicle’s driver’s seat, which was pulled over into a driveway. The arrestee was subsequently taken into custody for driving under the influence and transported to UPMC Lock Haven. Charges are pending.

Harassment w/Physical Contact

ALLISON TOWNSHIP– PSP Lamar was dispatched for a domestic disturbance at a location on SR-120/Renovo Road on March 24, 2024. Upon arrival, police learned that an argument ensued, and both parties subjected one another to physical contact. Both individuals were cited with harassment through District Court 25-3-01.

Criminal Mischief

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP– On March 20, 2024, at 3:24 p.m., PSP Lamar was dispatched to the Millbrook Plaza on Hogan Boulevard for a reported hit-and-run crash. It was determined through investigation that the incident was not a crash; it was criminal mischief. Police stated in the report that it appeared as though the passenger of a red SUV opened their door into the complainant’s vehicle, causing a small dent and paint transfer. Weis Markets security footage was unable to capture the identity of the occupants of the red SUV, and no registration was obtained. This investigation is ongoing.

Theft/Disposition of Funds

PORTER TOWNSHIP—On March 20, 2024, at 9:24 p.m., PSP Lamar was dispatched to McDonald’s in Lamar for a report of theft. According to the police report, the actor(s) stole $25.00 worth of McDonald’s food in addition to approximately $75.00. This investigation is ongoing.

False Report/Statement to Law Enforcement

CHAPMAN TOWNSHIP – On March 18, 2024, at 11:13 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to Market Street for a report of domestic violence. According to the police report, upon investigation, it was determined that the suspect left pertinent information out of her statements regarding the alleged assault. This investigation is ongoing.

Assault w/Serious Bodily Injury

NOYES TOWNSHIP – On March 17, 2024, PSP Lamar received a call about a domestic violence incident that took place near Gatzmere Avenue and Renovo Road. The victim, a 60-year-old woman from Renovo, reported being hit twice by a 2005 Ford Escape driven by the arrestee, identified as a 66-year-old man from Renovo. Police say they suspect that the victim sustained serious bodily injury due to being struck by the vehicle. This investigation is ongoing.
