RENOVO POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE: 

Motor Vehicle Accident 

On May 2, 2024, at approximately 5:07 p.m., Renovo Police investigated a vehicle crash that occurred in the 9300 block of Renovo Road/State Route 120 in Chapman Township just east of Green Acres Lane. 35-year-old Jamie Counsil was driving a 2011 Mazda 3 eastbound on Renovo Rd and failed to slow her vehicle for stopped traffic. Counsil struck the rear of a 2018 Hyundai Tucson driven by 44-year-old Michael Conner. Counsil’s vehicle was disabled and towed from the scene by Martin Motor Company. Conner’s vehicle was able to be driven from the scene. Both parties were wearing seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

Harassment/Threats  

On May 2, 2024, Renovo Police investigated a report of harassing messages that included threats exchanged between two known females in Renovo. After an investigation, no charges were filed at this time.

Arrest: Cruelty To Animals  

Renovo Police have charged a 15-year-old male, currently residing in Renovo, with cruelty to animals stemming from an incident that occurred on May 4, 2024, around 6:00 p.m. The minor male was witnessed by multiple people as he repeatedly struck a puppy, allegedly 10 times or more, with his hands because it ran away. This incident took place near the area of 13th Street and Saint Clair Avenue in Renovo. The juvenile has been charged through District Court 25-3-03 in Renovo.
