Criminal Mischief

CASTANEA – PSP Lamar responded to Collegewood Avenue in Castanea for a report of criminal mischief on April 11, 2024. Troopers determined that the glass window pane on the victim’s screen door had been damaged by an unknown object sometime between approximately 5:00 p.m. on April 10, 2024, and 7:30 p.m. on April 11, 2024. This investigation is ongoing.

Motor Vehicle Accident

CASTANEA – On April 11, 2024, a one-vehicle crash occurred on US-220 South near mile marker 111.0. Roy Maurukas, 47, Lock Haven, lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a left-hand curve in the roadway, which was wet due to rain. Maurukas’ vehicle spun out and struck the left side guide rail. The vehicle was disabled and towed from the scene as a result of the accident, and no injuries were reported.

Found Property

MARION TOWNSHIP (CENTRE) – On April 11, 2024, at 2:08 p.m., a maroon Samsung Galaxy S was found near 1693 1-80 West according to a report issued by PSP Lamar. For more information, contact the Lamar Barracks at 570-726-6000.

Harassment w/ Physical Contact

PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP – On April 11, 2024, PSP Lamar Troopers responded to Bower Lane for a 9-1-1 hang-up call. While en route, the troopers determined that the call was related to a domestic issue. According to the police report, Troopers learned through investigation that a female, 50, Jersey Shore, jumped on a victim’s back while he was walking down the stairs. It was further determined that she had made concerning statements and was subsequently transported to UPMC Lock Haven Hospital for a mental health evaluation. A citation for harassment was filed through District Court 25-3-01.

Criminal Trespass

PORTER TOWNSHIP – On April 2, 2024, PSP Lamar received a report from an individual residing on Narrows Road stating that an unknown actor(s) had been knocking on a window at the residence in the early morning hours. No further information was provided in the police report.

Retail Theft/Shoplifting

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar responded to a reported retail theft at Walmart in Mill Hall on March 31, 2024, at 10:38 a.m. Police investigation revealed that Victoria Knepp, 30, Bellefonte, attempted to leave the store without paying for 66 miscellaneous items that totaled $685.86. Appropriate charges were filed through District Court 25-3-02.

Retail Theft/Shoplifting

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Michelle Chilson, 50, Mill Hall, attempted to steal four miscellaneous items at Walmart in Mill Hall on February 18, 2024, according to a report issued by PSP Lamar. Chilson was caught and arrested through District Court 25-3-02 for retail theft.
