Seals edge Wildcats 4-2

SELINSGROVE- Central Mountain was looking to pick a big win over Selinsgrove on Thursday night, but despite out hitting the host Seals 6 to 5, they would give up a pair of runs sprinkled throughout the game’s final five innings to fall 4-2.
Selinsgrove jumped on the Wildcats early by taking a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Central Mountain would battle back in their next at bat to cross a pair of runs to tie things up at 2-2.
Domaracki pitched strong for the Seals by only allowing the two runs by the Wildcats through six innings of work.
Selinsgrove added their go ahead run in the third inning before adding a final insurance run in the fifth inning.
Kevin Grenninger limited the Seals to just three hits, while striking out 8 batters in 4 innings. Austin Frank pitched a strong couple of innings for Central Mountain in relief, allowing just one run.
Blake Walker ignited CM’s offense with a pair of hits. Isaiah Maldonado collected a single and a game tying RBI in the top of the second inning. Brady Lavelle and Elek Fravel also collected singles for Central Mountain. Grenninger also added a single.
The 2-1 Wildcats will next be in action on Friday, April 5 when they host Shamokin in Mill Hall.
