Bucktail Bucks Prepare for States with Spirited Send-off from Renovo Elementary and Bucktail Middle/High Schools

FARWELL-With no school tomorrow Renovo Elementary and Bucktail Middle/High Schools sent their basketball team off to States Thursday afternoon as the Bucks take on Lancaster County Catholic Christian tomorrow at Central Mountain. With Dan Heiser serving as emcee, the District Champions were given a enthusiastic afternoon of videos, games that often pitted players against teachers and encouragement that will no doubt last until tomorrow night’s much anticipated match up. Faculty members each sponsored a player which included wearing a t-shirt of their favorite player for the day. The event also served as a look back on the recent successes of all Bucktail sports, as Heiser noted Bucktail is no longer the small school looking to upset their opponents, but rather, the school that everyone now realizes that they have to try and beat.
