Wildcats take down Lewisburg in OT, 66-63

LEWISBURG- Central Mountain desperately were looking to get back on track Friday night in Lewisburg. They would do just that and claw out a tough overtime victory over the Dragons.

Hunter Hoy, Caleb Mahoney and Xavier Persun would all score in double figures as the Wildcats would erase an 8-point halftime deficit and pick up the 66-63 win in overtime to improve to 13-7 on the season.

Lewisburg jumped out to a 23-18 lead after one quarter and their 17-14 second quarter advantage had them up 40-32 at intermission.

The Wildcats would use a 28-20 second half effort to knot the game up at 60 at the end of regulation.

Hoy would score 4 points and Mahoney would add two points in the extra frame. CM held Lewisburg to just 3 points in overtime to secure the victory.

Hoy netted 20 points in the win, while Mahoney finished with 19 points. Xavier Persun would score 12 points.

Central Mountain will be back in action Saturday afternoon when they host Chestnut Ridge at a special 4pm JV start and 5:30 varsity tip.
