Another close one, another tough loss for CM girls
SELINSGROVE – The Central Mountain Lady Wildcats made the trip to Selinsgrove Friday night to take on the Lady Seals. The Wildcats battled but fell to the seals 49-47.
At halftime, Central Mountain found themselves trailing 27-24, and the Seals extended their lead to 42-32 by the end of the third quarter. The Lady Wildcats, however, weren’t ready to concede defeat. In a fourth-quarter rally, they closed the gap, coming close to a comeback. The effort fell just short with the final score in favor the Seals 49-47.
Leading the charge for Central Mountain was Taylor Doyle with 10 points. Lena Walker contributed 9 points, while Elise McKean and Ava Doyle each added 8 to the tally.
Meanwhile, the Central Mountain JV team celebrated a victory against the Lady Seals JV with a final score of 38-26.
Looking ahead, the Lady Wildcats and Lady Seals are set to face off once again on Monday night, this time on Central Mountain’s home court. With the Loss the Wildcats move to 7-10 on the season. The Seals improve to 5-15.
