No. 16 LHU Women’s Basketball runs win streak to 18, moves to perfect 13-0 in PSAC play
LOCK HAVEN– The nationally-ranked No. 16 Lock Haven women’s basketball team got off to a fast start and the Bald Eagles never looked back in a 68-52 victory over Bloomsburg (4-15, 2-11 PSAC) tonight at home in Thomas Fieldhouse in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action.
With the win, Lock Haven extended its win streak to a school-record 18th straight games. The Bald Eagles are now a perfect 13-0 in PSAC play, undefeated at home with a 9-0 mark and The Haven is 7-0 vs. PSAC East opponents.
The Bald Eagles have not lost since the season-opener back on November 10, 2023, and The Haven returned to the national rankings last week for the first time in 33 years. Since earning a national ranking last Tuesday, Lock Haven is 3-0 with no signs of slowing down.
Alana Robinson (Rockaway, N.J./Pope John Paul II) netted a game-high 20 points, and she added eight rebounds. Carly Fitzmorris (Hamburg, N.J./Pope John XXIII) knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points.
The victory also pushed head coach Jennifer Smith one-win away from history and left her one-victory from becoming the all-time leader in head coaching victories for Lock Haven women’s basketball. She now has 161 wins, which ties her for the record at The Haven, and she could record the milestone-victory Wednesday night at her alma mater, Millersville University.
Jenadia Jordan (York, Pa./Linden Hall) added nine points and the Bald Eagles benefitted from 32 points off the bench tonight.
Lock Haven’s fast start led to a 21-10 lead after the opening quarter. The Haven shot 73 percent from the floor in the first quarter.
The Bald Eagles’ torrid early pace led to a 20-point lead at the half, 43-23.
Jordan added six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
In all 11 players scored for The Haven as balanced scoring was certainly key in the win.
The Bald Eagles finished with a 36-25 advantage in rebounds and Lock Haven’s defense forced 20 turnovers.

The Bald Eagles will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 5:30 p.m. on the road at Millersville.
