Hit and Run
NOYES TOWNSHIP – On January 20, 2024, PSP Lamar responded to a crash that occurred in the area of 14764 Renovo Road in Noyes Township. Police reports say that Sheldon Knepp, 23, of Renovo, left the south side of the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a roadside utility pole causing moderate damage. Knepp fled the scene but was later identified and admitted to careless operation as well as possible injury sustained during the crash.
Harassment
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar responded to an incident of harassment on Hogan Boulevard on January 19, 2024. A 37-year-old female was charged with harassment for unwanted physical contact against her husband, identified as a 52-year-old male of Mill Hall. Charges were filed through District Magisterial Court 25-3-02.
Hit and Run
GREENE TOWNSHIP – On January 19, 2024, at 5:08 p.m. a crash occurred near 2563 East Valley Road in Greene Township. The driver of a dark gray colored sedan, reported as possibly being a Kia or Hyundai, was traveling east when it left the north side of the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle then struck a residential mailbox, failed to notify the property owner, and fled the scene. Police reports state that it is believed excessive speed and snow-covered road conditions were a factor in this crash.
Vehicle Crash
CASTANEA – PSP Lamar responded to a crash on January 17, 2024, at 9:42 a.m. in Castanea. The crash occurred as Bryant Peddigree, 23, of Lock Haven, was traveling northbound on 220 in the left lane while Rexallen Schrum, 51, of Howard was traveling in the right lane. As Peddigree approached Schrum, both vehicles left the roadway and Peddigree struck a guide rail before continuing northbound. Peddigree reentered the roadway before exiting the left lane and striking the rear driver’s side corner of the 2021 Thomas Built Bus operated by Schrum. Pedigree then reentered the left lane before turning approximately 90 degrees clockwise, skidding back into the right lane, and exiting the roadway via the south berm before coming to a final rest along the roadway, facing southeast. Schrum was able to maintain control and continued north before exiting the roadway and coming to a controlled final rest on the south berm facing east. Neither driver reported any injuries.
Residential Burglary
BEECH CREEK – On January 14, 2024, William Benfield, 29, reported that someone had entered his residence and taken several items including a Microsoft Xbox Series X valued at $450.00, decorative crystal plates valued at $60.00, and a Steelers Football valued at $40.00. This investigation is ongoing.
