LH Man Charged with Gun Outside Elementary School Now Faces Sex Crimes
LOCK HAVEN – Demario Baer, 19, Lock Haven, was charged on January 9th with a second set of criminal charges by Detective Rich Simpson of the Lock Haven City Police with a sum total of 48 counts of sex-related offenses against a minor, including 12 counts each of the crimes of Statutory Sexual Assault (F2), Aggravated Indecent Assault (F2), Corruption of Minors (F3), and Indecent Assault (M2). Police reportedly discovered evidence of Baer’s alleged sex crimes when conducting an investigation involving Baer and a January 4th, 2024 incident that resulted in the emergency lockdown of all students and faculty at Robb Elementary School and a massive law enforcement response to the school. Bail has been set at $40,000 on the new case. Baer remains incarcerated.
On January 4, 2024, Baer was arrested by Lock Haven City Police on charges of Terroristic Threats, Possession of a Weapon on School Property, Possessing Instruments of Crime, after allegedly brandishing a firearm outside of Robb Elementary School. Baer remains incarcerated on that case in lieu of $200,000 bail.
