Big fourth quarter lifts West Branch past Lady Bucks 44-26

ALLPORT- Bucktail’s Lady Bucks got their holiday tournament season under way at the West Branch Tournament Thursday night taking on the host Lady Warriors.

The Lady Bucks started off on a good note by holding a slim 16-14 lead at the half after a big 9-4 second quarter advantage, but West Branch would storm back.

Following a low scoring 9-5 Lady Warriors third quarter, West Branch would pour it on. A 21-5 final quarter would be Bucktail’s downfall.

West Branch improved to 4-2 on the season, while the loss dropped the Lady Bucks to 2-4 on the season. Bucktail will play in the tournament’s consolation game on Friday.

Mak Wagner led Bucktail with 12 points, while Kendall Wagner added 7 points in the loss.
