Vehicle Crash

GREENE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar responded to an accident on Interstate 80 near mile marker 194 in Greene Township on December 23, 2023, at 6:38 a.m. Robert Costello, 60, was driving a 2010 Ford F150 while traveling east on I-80 when he reportedly fell asleep and woke up when he was off of the roadway and could not regain control of the vehicle. The vehicle continued off of the roadway into the median where he struck a tree. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, however, Costello was not injured as a result of the accident.

Vehicle Crash

CASTANEA – On December 22, 2023, at 4:50 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to an accident that occurred at the Lock Haven on-ramp of SR 220 Lock Haven Exit in Castanea Township. Emma Stuck, 18, of Mill Hall was driving a 2008 Ford Escape while following her father and merging onto the on-ramp of SR 220. Stuck did not see Daniel Kohen, 59, of Mill Hall, who was also traveling on the on-ramp in a 1995 Jeep Wrangler. Stuck pulled out and struck Kohen, causing disabling damage to both vehicles. Kohen reportedly sustained a head injury and was transported to the Jersey Shore Hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Structure Fire

FLEMINGTON – A PA State Fire Marshal from the Montoursville Crime Unit along with multiple Clinton County Fire Departments responded to a structure fire at 646 Huston Street in Flemington on December 20, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. The fire marshal conducted an Origin and Cause investigation, which indicated that the fire was caused by an unattended candle and was ruled accidental. The victims of the fire are identified as a 30-year-old male of Flemington and a 50-year-old male of Lock Haven. No fire personnel or occupants sustained any injuries.

Structure Fire

DUNNSTABLE TOWNSHIP – On December 15, 2023, at 5:15 p.m., a PA State Fire Marshal of the Montoursville Crime Unit conducted an Origin and Cause investigation at 439 Big Plum Run Road in Dunnstable Township. Due to multiple potential causes of the fire and the extent of the damage to the residence and its contents, the exact cause of the fire has remained undetermined. No fire personnel or occupants sustained any injuries. The victims of the fire are identified as a 29-year-old male, a 69-year-old male, and a 71-year-old female, all of Lock Haven.

Retail Theft/Shoplifting

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – On December 13, 2023, at 3:25 p.m., PSP Lamar investigated an incident of retail theft at Lowes, located at 284 Hogan Boulevard in Mill Hall. The items stolen were a Husqva-545 Mark II, valued at $639, a Skil 5-Tool Brushless Power Tool Combo valued at $199, and a Flex 24 Volt ½ Inch Brushless Cordless Drill Set valued at $179. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
