Lady Bucks fall late at NoPo, 37-33

ULYSSES- Bucktail head coach Suellen Wagner took her squad as close as she could get to the North Pole on Thursday evening when the Lady Bucks traveled to Ulysses to face Northern Potter. The trip started out filled with gumdrops and sugar plums, but in the end it would be the Lady Panthers that would play the role of the Grinch getting the win 37-33.
NoPo used a 7-6 first quarter advantage in the first quarter, but Bucktail battled back in the second quarter with a slim 11-10 advantage to tie things up at 17-17 at the break.
The Lady Bucks would build a 1-point lead in the third quarter at 24-23 heading into the fourth and final quarter.
A 17-9 final frame from the host Lady Panthers would set the final at 37-33.
NoPo improved to 5-4 on the season, while the Lady Bucks dropped to 3-4 on the season.
Bucktail, who is still without Kendall Wagner would get 19 points from Mak Wagner. Wagner would connect on 3 three-point baskets on the night. Matti Mason would add 9 points in the loss.
Chapman led the way for Northern Potter with 14 points.
Bucktail will next be in action on December 28 when they travel to the West Branch tournament.
