CM girls home opener spoiled by talented Bloomsburg, 49-31

MILL HALL- It was a long wait for the Central Mountain girls basketball team. Exactly one month into the season and the Lady Wildcats finally got the chance to open up their home schedule. Their opponents would be a 5-1 Bloomsburg Lady Panthers team, a 3A state playoff qualifier out of District 4.
Bloomsburg would come at the Lady Wildcats early and often on Wednesday evening in Mill Hall
Bloomsburg’s 26-8 first quarter would take the wind out of CM’s sails early.
Central Mountain would keep coming at Bloomsburg. Their gutsy 9-5 second quarter would keep the home team optimistic. The Lady Wildcats’ optimism would be doused quickly be a swarming Lady Panthers’ squad that would use a 12-4 third quarter advantage to leave little doubt in the end result.
CM would dominate the game’s final frame by a count of 10-6 to set the final.
Ava Doyle would lead Central Mountain with 11 points, while sister Taylor netted 10 points.
Central Mountain, now 4-2 will prep for participation in the Hughesville holiday tournament on 12/27 and 12/28
