Vehicle Crash with Fatality
LAMAR TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar and Goodwill Hose Co. Ambulance responded to a fatal crash involving Benjamin Snook, 43, of Loganton. The accident took place on Interstate 80 near mile marker 180.6 on December 10, 2023, at 6:12 p.m. Snook was traveling West on Interstate 80 in a 2018 Kia Stinger when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an embankment. The crash caused the vehicle to roll before ejecting Snook from the vehicle, causing fatal injuries. Snook was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Vehicle Crash
GREENE TOWNSHIP – On December 8, 2023, at 7:20 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to an accident that occurred on Interstate 80 West near mile marker 186.5 involving Hunter Ishler, 18, of Bellefonte. Ishler was operating a 2006 Subaru Outback while traveling West in the left passing lane when he fell asleep and subsequently traveled off the south side of the roadway, striking the embankment. The vehicle traveled up the embankment approximately 10 feet before coming to a stop approximately 50 yards from the initial impact. The vehicle sustained disabling damage as a result of the crash but there were no injuries reported.
Careless Driving
NOYES TOWNSHIP – On December 8, 2023, Jeni L. Cowan, 49, of Westport, was charged with careless driving after an accident that occurred when she was traveling in a 2005 Suzuki XL-7/Grand Vitara on State Route 120 and lost control of the vehicle several feet west of Gatzmere Avenue. The vehicle exited the travel lane and impacted an embankment on the north side of the roadway. After the impact, the vehicle ricocheted off the embankment, crossing back through both lanes of travel before exiting the roadway and continuing through a ditch onto railroad tracks where it came to a final rest. Cowan was evaluated on the scene by Renovo EMS and no injuries were reported.
Theft From Residence
DUNNSTABLE TOWNSHIP – On December 7, 2023, theft from a residence on German Road in Dunnstable Township was reported to PSP Lamar. The theft is alleged to have taken place in October 2023, when the victim, identified as a 42-year-old female, had common goods and electronics stolen from her home by a known suspect who had lawfully entered the shared residence. The investigation is ongoing.
Found Property/Possibly Stolen Property
RENOVO – While investigating a theft-related matter on December 7, 2023, Renovo Police recovered a cell phone that may possibly have been stolen. If anyone lost or has had their cell phone stolen recently, please contact the Renovo Police Department at 570-923-2102 or 570-923-2268 to speak with an officer and provide a description of the phone.
Terroristic Threats/Resisting Arrest
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Clinton County Probation Officers removed a male minor student from Central Mountain High School on December 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., due to multiple ongoing criminal and disciplinary issues. According to the report made by PSP Lamar, the student violently lashed out and made numerous threats of violence on both the probation officers and the school. The student was charged with terroristic threats, resisting arrest, and other similarly related charges.
Harassment/Physical Contact
PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar responded to a report of a physical altercation between two parties on December 6, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. at Municipal Drive in Pine Creek Township. Through police investigation, it was determined that an argument between a 51-year-old male from Lock Haven and a 69-year-old female from Jersey Shore turned physical, resulting in both parties being charged with harassment involving physical contact.
Theft of Lost/Mislaid Property
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar investigated an incident of theft of lost/mislaid property at Walmart in Mill Hall on December 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. After investigation, it was determined that a known actor stole $60.00 from the self-checkout after the previous customer, Gayleene Betron, 62, of Mill Hall, left it at the register. The actor was subsequently located and the money was returned to Betron, who declined to press charges in the case.
Theft of Lost/Mislaid Property
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar responded to a call involving theft of lost/mislaid property that took place at the Dollar Tree located at 212 Hogan Blvd. in Mill Hall on December 2, 2023, at 6:48 p.m. The victim, Wilma McClintic, accidentally left her purse at the checkout counter in the store after paying for her items. When she returned to the store a short time later upon realizing that she had forgotten her purse, she discovered that it had been stolen. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Hall at the PSP Lamar Barracks at (570) 726-6000.
Warrant with Arrest on Extradition
GREENE TOWNSHIP – Richard Goodlett, 67, of Bronx, NY was taken into custody after he was found to have a full extradition warrant in North Carolina when PSP Lamar responded to a Welfare Check at 784 N. Mill Street in Greene Township on November 30, 2023, at 9:37 p.m. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02 in Mill Hall.
Hit and Run
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar arrived at the Helt Funeral Chapel, located at 232 Hogan Blvd. in Mill Hall, at 3:56 p.m. on November 29, 2023, in response to a hit-and-run incident. Video footage showed what is believed to be a 10-foot UHaul truck without an overhead storage compartment, attempting to drive under an overhang attached to the funeral chapel’s building. The truck collided with the overhang, causing damage to the building and leaving parts of the truck behind. The truck then reversed and left the parking lot, heading west on Hogan Blvd. The truck’s license plate or any identifying numbers were not visible. Attempted Residential Burglary
CASTANEA TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar is still investigating a residential burglary that took place on W. Brown Street in Castanea. On November 23, 2023, at 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the report of the attempted burglary. Upon their arrival, a glass French door to the residence had been shattered with damages amounting to $500.00. Entry to the residence was unsuccessful as both layers of glass had not been penetrated. The victims of the attempted burglary are identified as a 44-year-old male and a 42-year-old female. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact PSP Lamar at 570-726-6000.
Defiant Trespass
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – On November 20, 2023, at 12:00 a.m., PSP Lamar responded to a call involving criminal trespassing. According to police interviews, it was determined that a crime occurred, but the victim, John Pringle, 62, of State College, refused to cooperate at the time. No charges were filed for this incident.
Firearm Sale or Transfer
LAMAR TOWNSHIP – Officers of PSP Lamar are still investigating a case stemming from October 10th at 1:52 p.m. when a suspect attempted to purchase a firearm from Miller’s Gun Shop. The case remains open pending further investigation
CASTANEA: BROOKE RENEE REMICK of Lock Haven will be charged through District Court 25-3-01 stemming from an incident that occurred on 11/09/23 in Castanea that prompted a response from Mill Hall Police, State Police Lamar, Clinton County Probation and Clinton County Children and Youth Services. REMICK provided a written statement to Police which opened the investigation. Police conducted Interviews, secured a search warrant for a home, evidence and photos had been taken. The investigation revealed REMICK had provided Police with several false statements when interviewed about the incident to mislead Police and falsely incriminate another person. REMICK will be charged with: False Reports Unsworn falsification to authorities Falsely incriminating another Tampering with or fabrication of physical evidence Created Dec 11th, 2023 @ 12:54 PM

Incidents:
Crash – On December 1, 2023, at 9:41am, there were two separate motor vehicle crashes on the Constitution Bridge due to the bridge freezing. Both vehicles struck the barrier of the bridge. One was towed from the scene.
Criminal Mischief – Between December 1, 2023, at 10:00pm and December 2, 2023, at 8:00am, someone threw an egg at the caller’s apartment door in the 600 block of E. Bald Eagle St.
Criminal Mischief – On December 1, 2023, sometime between 10:00pm and 11:00pm, an apartment window in the 600 block of E. Bald Eagle St was shot by a metal bb damaging it.
Crash – On December 2, 2023, at 10:00am, a vehicle backing out of a space in the parking lot of Evergreen Commons, 300 Foundation Dr, struck another parked vehicle.
Criminal Mischief – Between November 30, 2023, at 6:00pm and December 5, 2023, at 8:00am, a vehicle parked in the 600 block of E. Bald Eagle St had three of its tires damaged.
Criminal Mischief – On December 9, 2023, between 8:00pm and 8:15pm, an apartment on Linden Circle had eggs thrown at the door.
Offenses Charged:
Jessica Spicer, 35, Lock Haven, was cited with an ordinance violation. On November 1, 2023, at 5:15am, Spicer’s two dogs were unleashed and running loose in on N. Jones St.
Kylie Wagner, 21, Lock Haven, was arrested for DUI. On November 22, 2023, Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 10 block of Bellefonte Ave. Wagner had driven her vehicle into light post, parking meter, and a tree. Wagner was found to be intoxicated.
Hunter Alters, 26, Lock Haven was arrested for theft. On November 28, 2023, between 2:00pm and 4:00pm, Alters took a package from the lobby area of 11 S. Jones St that belonged to the victim. The items in the package were valued at $18.00.
A 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male were cited with disorderly conduct and harassment. On November 30, 2023, at approximately 8:00am, the two juvenile males attacked a third juvenile male in the 10 block of Peach St.
