A New Era of Fitness: Element 26 Wellness Launches in Mill Hall and Celebrates with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

By Emily Wright

MILL HALL — The grand opening of Element 26 Wellness was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this Tuesday, December 5. Located at 7893 Nittany Valley Drive in Mill Hall, the gym welcomed members of the community to join in on the special occasion.

Karen Dicello, the owner of Element 26 Wellness, spoke passionately about her vision for the gym and she expressed appreciation for her staff members, stating, “This gym isn’t about me; it’s about all of you and just moving forward and having a place to go for fitness and personal growth, so thank you all. Thank you to all of the coaches and my husband”.

Under Karen’s leadership, the rebranded gym has a new mission, inspired by Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” This mission encapsulates the gym’s Biblically-based mantra of continuous improvement and surrounding oneself with like-minded individuals who inspire each other.

Karen shared her background and passion for health and wellness, as well as her vision for Element 26. “Owning a gym has always been a dream and I’m proud to continue building this community under Element 26 Wellness!” She emphasized. Karen’s background is in dance, education, coaching cheerleading, and business, and she is also a certified group fitness instructor as well as a health and wellness coach, certified by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York. Her goal with Element 26 is to create a community where people can improve their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being and be inspired to reach their full potential. Karen expressed that she is excited to welcome everyone to embark on a journey of fitness and wellness at Element 26.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Karen acknowledged and thanked some notable guests in attendance, including Woodlands Bank, the Clinton County Economic Partnership, her husband, Joe Dicello, and Ru Young, manager at Element 26. Referring to Ru, Karen emphasized, “I couldn’t do this without her!”

The gym offers a free 6-day trial period to those interested in trying it out before committing, and in January, Element 26 will be offering 50% off the first month of membership. Those interested in becoming a member of Element 26 can choose from a variety of membership options including individual, couples, family, student, and senior citizen options. There is also a 12-session punch card for those looking for a more flexible option, and without a membership, classes are $7 each.

The gym offers a variety of amenities including group fitness classes, health and wellness life coaching, personal training, and a kid’s room that provides entertainment so that parents can get a workout in without the hassle of arranging childcare.

Fitness classes at Element 26 are designed to push one’s limits and help them achieve their goals according to Karen. She emphasizes the uniqueness of the gym’s approach, with the same class being offered at different times throughout the day but with different workout routines, allowing for variety and quality in instruction.

Beginning each weekday at 5:30 a.m., fitness classes are widely available to individuals with even the most hectic schedules. There are also two classes offered on Saturdays for those wanting a workout during the weekend.

The class schedule can be found on the gym’s website as well as through the Element 26 Wellness mobile app, which conveniently allows users to view upcoming classes and book a spot in one.

The health and wellness coaching available at Element 26 focuses on nutritional counseling and offers one-on-one sessions, group classes, and seminars on topics such as meal prepping and maintaining a balanced diet. The gym also offers personal training programs tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.

On the Element 26 Wellness website, Karen states, “Element 26 Wellness is not just a business, but a community where people feel valued and heard. I want to inspire you to push your limits and discover your true potential in all areas of your life. Get ready to embark on an incredible fitness and wellness journey at Element 26!”
