Pilot groups visit Piper Aviation Museum
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Piper Aviation Museum was very busy recently when several groups of pilots flew into William T. Piper Memorial Airport to spend their Saturday at the museum.
Twelve airplanes were lined up and parked in front of the museum as over thirty visitors learned about the history of the Piper Aircraft Company. One of the groups was the EAA Chapter 240 from New Garden Flying Field in Toughkenamon, PA. The pilots brought eight of the aircraft along with ten passengers into the William T. Piper Memorial Airport to visit the museum.
The visitors scored their visit as a huge success and stated that museum manager Ed Watson was a walking Piper aviation book as he gave them a guided tour through the two floors of Piper aircraft and memorabilia on display.
