CM freshman Lindsay takes opener at PIAA tennis championships

HERSHEY, PA – Central Mountain freshman Addison Lindsay won her first match Friday morning at the PIAA AAA championships at the Hershey Racquet Club. The undefeated Lady Wildcat defeated Isabelle Emmanuel, the District 1 third-place finisher from Conestoga, the score 6-2, 6-2.

The victory puts Lindsay into Friday’s 4 p.m. quarterfinals. She is now 15-0 on the season and Emmanuel is her first opponent to win as many as two games against her in a set.

The AAA tourney has a strong field, including defending champion Grace Li, a senior from Unionville, District 1. The two are bracketed away from each other.

Lindsay earlier this fall became the first Clinton County tennis player to ever win a girls’ District 6 singles title.
