New “Halloween in the Park” set for Woolrich Park

WOOLRICH, PA – Woolrich Park, now owned by Pine Creek Township, will be hosting a new Halloween event later this month.

Halloween in the Park has been announced for Saturday, Oct. 28 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Pine Creek Township Recreation Committee, Woolrich Fire Department and Saar’s Tree Service.

Attendees are asked to come dressed in a costume, there is a costume contest by age.

The event will also see: games, craft making, a hayride, trunk or treat, with a movie at 7 p.m.

Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Last year saw Woolrich Park pass through several ownerships, from Woolrich, Inc. to Clinton County and then to Pine Creek Township, with the understanding the park would remain in its current state. The acquisition by the township was finalized just less than a year ago. Supervisors there set up a recreation committee to oversee operations at historic Woolrich landmark.
