‘Shore pulls away from Shamokin, 42-7
COAL TOWNSHIP, PA – The Jersey Shore Bulldogs found themselves in a rare situation at the outset of their Friday night game at Shamokin High School. The undefeated Bulldogs found themselves down 7-0 just a few moments into the contest after the Indians intercepted a pass and soon put up a touchdown and an extra point for a 7-6 lead.
But that would prove to be it for the home team as ‘Shore put up 42 unanswered points on the way to a 42-7 win, leading by 28-7 at the half on a rainy night in Coal Township. Dathan Tyson made the headlines with a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown and a 2-point conversion.
Jersey Shore is now 6-0-1; next up is a road game next Friday at Montoursville (3-3). Shamokin fell to 3-4 with the loss.
