City Hall shutdown: Lock Haven police post parking-related revisions
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Due to a bacteria issue, Lock Haven’s City Hall remained shut down for a second day on Thursday. City police have temporarily relocated to the police building on the Commonwealth University – Lock Haven campus.
Police did on Thursday post information on parking matters administered through their department:
Due to the temporary closure of City Hall, anyone who has a valid parking permit for August will be valid until September 8th. We are not currently issuing new permits for September until next week. Parking tickets can still be paid online or placed in the drop boxes that are around town.
City Manager Greg Wilson had announced the bacteria matter Wednesday. It’s expected to be well into September until City Hall will be cleared for re-occupancy. Beginning Friday, the city
offices of utility billing, code enforcement, and accounts payable will be temporarily relocated to the city’s Public Works facility at 99 Second Avenue and can be reached by calling (570) 893-5917. As noted by the city manager, the best way to ensure contact with any department is through email, with direct emails available to every department listed in the city directory available on its website.
