Lock Haven City Beach reopens
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The city beach off Grove Street has reopened after a 10-day shutdown over water quality issues.
The free swimming area off Vesper Street had been shut down to swimmers after Lock Haven government posted that word on June 15.
On Monday, Kasey Campbell, the city’s director of community life, shared word of the reopening, “We had good reports come in, so we will have lifeguards posted Tuesday through Sundays 11-6. If a guard is not there it is swim at your own risk.”
The now removed posting had read, “No swimming due to water quality per the Department of Health and the City of Lock Haven.”
