Snyder Seeks Second Term
LOCK HAVEN – Jeff Snyder, incumbent Clinton County Commissioner (R), has announced that he will seek a second term as a county commissioner and will be running in the May 19 primary election. Snyder said, “I am seeking a second term as Commissioner because I have enjoyed working with the citizens of Clinton County and hope I have earned their trust and confidence. I am dedicated to improving the future of Clinton County. Commissioners Pete Smeltz, Joel Long and myself work well as a team.”
Snyder serves as Chairman of the Prison Board and Chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee. He is a member of the Lycoming/Clinton Joinder Board, the Susque View Home Board, the Housing Authority Board, the Clinton County Soil Conservation District Board, the Central Counties Youth Detention Center Board, the Clinton County Children and Youth Committee, the Clinton County Recreation Authority, the Victim Witness Board, the Revolving Loan Board, the Agricultural Preservation Board, the Clinton County Fire Chiefs Association, the Terrorist Task Force Board, the Board of Assessment Appeals, the Advocate for a Drug Free Tomorrow and the Safety Committee.
Snyder is a member of Saint Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington, Lock Haven Kiwanis Club, Lock Haven Elks Lodge #182, Lock Haven Moose Lodge #100 and is a Life Member of the Woolrich Volunteer Fire Company.
Snyder has been a resident of Clinton County since 1962. He graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1974 and Lock Haven University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He previously owned and operated the Chatham Run Feed Mill in Woolrich for 33 years and served on the Keystone Central School Board for 20 years.
Snyder resides in Woolrich with his wife Toni, who is a teacher with the Keystone Central School District. They have two children and three grandchildren.
