Renovo Community Choir showed how much “We Love America”
RENOVO, PA -Festive songs and a love of country was on full display last Sunday afternoon as the Renovo Area Community Choir performed their annual spring concert with the theme “We Love America” at the 7th Street United Methodist Church. The collective talent never disappoints the always packed audience and this performance was no exception. The show kicked off with the classic “This is My Country” and ended with the rather fitting of a Renovo concert “A Place in the Valley”, with hits and classics in between. Including “Golden Dream” with voicings by Jamie Stone, Mitch Gavlock and Dan Heiser and “Fifty States of Rhyme performed by Charly Kepler. Autumn and Mitch Gavlock, known as 2 A.M. performed an amazing duet “Where the Stars and Stripes and Eagle’s Fly.” A surprise visit from Sam The Eagle added laughter to enthusiastic applause. The Choir was under the direction of Patricia Lacy and accompanied by Diana Welshans.
