CM musicians with strong showing at Music in the Parks

HERSHEY, PA – The Central Mountain Marching Band and Central Mountain Jazz Cats spent the day Saturday at Hershey Park competing in the Music in the Parks festival competition and enjoying a day at the park. And both did very well.

Students in grades 7-12 participated in the Parade Band division, bringing home first place with an excellent rating, as well as winning the overall best marching band trophy.

The CM Jazz Cats, also grades 7-12, won second place in the Jazz Band division with an excellent rating by the adjudicators.

This marks the beginning of the marching band’s new season, while the jazz band wraps things up with their spring concert on Wednesday, May 10 at 7 p.m. in the CMHS Auditorium. You can see the marching band in action at the Beech Creek/Blanchard and Loganton Memorial Day parades on Monday, May 29.
