CM track splits at Hollidaysburg
HOLLIDAYSBURG, PA – The Central Mountain track programs split their contests at Hollidaysburg on Saturday. The girls team came out on top, for their win of the season, by a score of 84-66, while the boys fell by a 99-53 score.
Coach Ellie Sikorskas again complimented both squads on their performances, again many entrants posting personal bests.
The girls had a three-time first place winner in Abbey Wolfe in the 800, 1600 and 32 meter runs. Two Wildcats had two first places each: Rachel Hall in the 100 meters and pole vault and Lily Hendricks in the long jump and triple jump.
Other first places came from Julia Schubach in the 400; Sarah Hill in the 100 hurdles, Vivian Wilt in the 300 hurdles and the 4×100 relay team.
The boys had two double-winners: Garrison Lucas in the 100 and 200 meters and Logan Dawes in the shot put and discus. First places were also earned by Mack Saar in the javelin and the 4×100 and 4×800 relay teams.
Both teams will have their long-awaited first meets on the Wildcats’ refurbished track at the Central Mountain Middle School on Tuesday at 4 p.m. with Milton. The teams are also to compete at the Lock Haven University Invitational on Friday.
