Quakers down Sugar Valley in baseball, softball

MILLVILLE, PA – It was a challenging day Friday for the Sugar Valley baseball and softball teams. Both traveled to Millville to take on the Quakers. The home team won the baseball game by a 14-2 count and the softball contest by a 20-6 score.

The Phoenix baseball team was to be back at it Saturday at a tournament at Shamokin High School, two games on the schedule, starting with a morning contest with the host Indians. The softball team will resume play Monday, a 4 p.m. home contest at the Booneville field with Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech.
