LH Y gym team sets showcase for Nov. 11

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Lock Haven Branch YMCA Gymnastics Team is kicking off its season with their annual showcase, Friday, Nov. 11. Gymnasts will walk out at 5:15 with the first performers starting right after a brief introduction. The showcase will have gymnasts from all three teams performing on all four events. Vault and bars will be first with beam and floor routines alternating for the finish. There will be no judges for this event. The showcase is free for the public and one of the best times to see the team in action.

The team competes in the Allegheny Mountain Gymnastics League with their first event being an invitational at Garver Memorial YMCA Saturday, Nov. 19. The team’s first home meet will be Saturday, Dec. 10 against Blair Regional YMCA at 9:30 a.m. The A and B Teams are full of veteran gymnasts with two or more seasons under their belt, and the coaches feel this will be a successful season for both individuals and the team.
