Probert, Lowery compete in PIAA District IV singles tournament

WILLIAMSPORT, PA- Bucktail has entered the postseason phase of their amazing 2022 season. The Lady Bucks finished 16-1, but on Saturday in Williamsport it was the singles tournament that would take center stage.
Bucktail’s Kayla Probert and Alexis Lowery would square off with the very best singles players in District IV.
Probert, who grabbed the six seed only suffered one loss during the season. That was to the number one overall seed Peyton Dincher of Jersey Shore.Probert began district play by downing Lewisburg’s Grace Burckhart 6-4, 6-2. She would then fall to unseeded Mehak Kotru of Danville 6-0, 6-3 in the second round to end her tournament run.
Alexis Lowery had a tough first round draw in Danville’s Sarah Bhanushali. Bhanushali, the tournament’s fourth seed would knock off the unseeded Lowery 6-2, 6-2.
Jersey Shore’s top seeded Peyton Dincher would cruise to the semifinals, where she will meet the fifth seed, Loyalsock’s Anna Hall. The other semifinal will pit Hughesville’s Sarah Buck against Montoursville’s Kara Mann in a three seed vs. two seed battle.
