August 8 next step in Farrandsville Road walkway project
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Project contractor Clearwater Construction has informed local officials that work will get underway in early August along the Farrandsville Road between the Veterans (Jay St.) Bridge and Riverview Park.
According to word relayed by the Clinton County Economic Partnership, beginning August 8, crews will be cutting down trees on the river side of the road. Flaggers will be directing single-lane traffic as they do this work.
Following that, a water line will be relocated and some shoulder widening will take place (this could involve some temporary lane closures). Utility work by third parties (PPL, Comcast and Verizon) is scheduled between mid-September and February.
Roadway work is then expected to resume in early March of 2023. The overall project, which includes road improvements and construction of a pedestrian walkway between the bridge and the park, is expected to go into 2024.
