Lady Bucks, Montgomery and Muncy dominate Mid Penn Softball All Stars; SVRC’s McKeague first team

WILLIAMSPORT, PA- It came as no surprise that the three best teams in the Mid Penn Conference would dominate the 2022 conference All Star Team. Bucktail, state champion Montgomery and 2A state playoff qualifier Muncy combined for 17 All Stars named to the Mid Penn squad.
It was also no surprise that senior Montgomery Pitcher Faith Persing would be named conference MVP after leading the Lady Raiders to their second straight outright conference title and a 1A state championship.
Muncy’s sophomore pitcher Nolah Moyer joined Persing as a first team pitcher.
Montgomery’s Taylor McRae joined Bucktail’s Mak Wagner and Haley Burrows as first team infielders. Sugar Valley’s Trinity McKeague represented the Phoenix on the MPC first feam. Northwest’s Kelly Harvey rounded out the first team infielders.
Senior catcher and Bucktail’s all-time hits leader Jordan Burrows joined fellow Montgomery senior Shelby McRae as first team catchers.
In the outfield on the first team it was Jenna Waring of Montgomery, Ava Dunham of Sullivan County and Jordin Bowman of Northwest. Kaitlyn Raemsch of Montgomery was named first team utility player to round out the first team.
The Lady Bucks were well represented in the outfield on the second team with sophomore Alexis Lowery and senior Raileigh Isaacs earning honors. Montgomery’s Kaylei Snyder and Sullivan County’s Peyton Pretti also were named second teamers.
Muncy’s starting three in the infield were also named. Casey Fry, Lily Frederick and Izzy Gush grabbed the honors for the Lady Indians. Kaelyn Wettlaufer of Sullivan County was also named to the second team infield.
Outstanding freshman Muncy catcher Taylor Shannon locked up second team honors along with St. John Neumann’s Gigi Parlante behind the plate.
Second team utility player was Kayla Fowler of Sullivan County.
Senior pitcher Emma Poorman wrapped up an epic high school career by being named second team MPC pitcher. Millville workhorse Carle Charles was also named to the second team as a pitcher.
