Best of Clinton County underway in Lock Haven
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The downtown business district is alive and well in Lock Haven on Saturday. Downtown Lock Haven Inc. is staging its annual Best of Clinton County and visitors began showing up on E. Main St. at the 10 a.m. start time.
With Main Street blocked to vehicular traffic from Jay to Mill Streets, turning the street into a pedestrian mall, the downtown group has set up a series of daylong events, including a street parade at 3 p.m., outside dining at participating restaurants, sales from merchants, arts and crafts displays and chalking opportunities on the city’s Main Street municipal parking lot.
New this year is a boat parade on the Susquehanna River at 6 p.m., followed by a concert with Aaron Kelly at the floating stage at 6:30 p.m., and a launch of floating lanterns on the river at 8:30 p.m.
Windy conditions prompted one event to be relocated. The obstacle course and “bounce house” have been relocated from Triangle Park to the Hope-Hose Fire Company on E. Church Street.
