Central Mountain softball downs Lady Mustangs

MIDDLEBURG, PA – The bats came alive as the Central Mountain Lady Wildcats recorded 13 hits and scored seven runs to down Midd-West 7-1 on Wednesday.

Sophie Mitchell went 3 for 4 and scored two runs while Madisyn Wian, Kelsey Burrows and Audrey Walker had two hits each.

Allison Lininger started in the circle and pitched 2-1/3 innings to get the win.  She allowed 1 run on 1 hit and struck out 3 batters.  Addie McKeague pitched 4-2/3 innings allowing 3 hits and striking out 5 batters.

Centtral Mountain is now 7-1 on the season, Midd-West 0-6. Next up for Coach Fred Caldwell’s team is a Thursday trip to Selinsgrove (1-6).
