The Townships
New story series (to get us through the winter months)!

With winter banging on our front doors and trying to barge in, I thought that now would be as good a time as ever to begin a new series of stories.
The time has come to debut The Townships, The Boroughs, and The City; The Record’s newest installment of writing series.
Each week, this column will examine one of our twenty-one townships, then each of our seven boroughs, and then Clinton County’s one and only classified city, not in this exact order.
This column will aim to examine and explain the history and earliest settlers, basic demographic information, business and industry, environment, and the reasons why so many call their township, borough, or city “home.”
From West Keating to Avis, Leidy to Logan Township, I will do my best to tell the stories from every corner of Clinton County, and everywhere in between.
