LHU’s Sibiski named D2CCA Soccer All-American
POMONA, Calif. –The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) released its Division II All-American teams on Wednesday and Beckham Sibiski (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) of the Lock Haven University men’s soccer team was named to the second-team of the prestigious award.
The honors have piled up for Sibiski, who was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Year, a D2CCA Atlantic All-Region First Team member and to the PSAC East All-Conference First Team.
On the field, Sibiski led The Haven to the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Tournament First Round, marking the program’s first trip to the national tournament since 2007. The Bald Eagles capped 2021 with a 13-4-2 overall record and a 10-1-1 PSAC mark. Lock Haven claimed the regular season PSAC Eastern Division championship, and the 13 wins for the Bald Eagles mark the most since the 2007 season.
As a captain, Sibiski started in all 19 games, and his creativity was on full display as he tallied a team-high 12 assists to go along with seven goals. His assists per game of .63 topped the PSAC and ranks in a tie for fourth in the nation at the Division II level. Sibiski’s 26 points at 1.37 per game are the fourth-most in the conference.
For the men’s soccer team, Sibiski becomes the 20th All-American in the program’s storied history. It also marks the second-straight year of competition that the Bald Eagles and head coach Patrick Long (’08) have earned an All-American. In 2019, forward Andrea DiSomma notched third-team honors.
Sports Information Directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences sponsoring men’s soccer selected the D2CCA All-America Team. The process begins at the regional level with all First Team All-Region picks advancing to the national ballot. This marks the 15th year that teams have been selected since the All-America program began in 2006.
