Clinton COVID case numbers ticking up

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Thursday reported 4,312 new COVID-19 cases statewide, marking a fourth day in a row cases have increased.

The state said there are 2,742 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, down 96 from Wednesday. 678 are in an intensive care unit, up 15 from Wednesday.

In Clinton County 37 new cases were reported on Thursday, the highest one-day number in three months, bringing the total to 4,954; the previous high in October was 33 on Oct. 3. Centre County saw an increase of 46 on Thursday to 20,567, while Lycoming County increased by 91 to 16,377.

The state Thursday reported 95 new deaths. The death count in Clinton County increased by one to 76, marking three new deaths in the last two days in the county.
