COVID case update

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Thursday reported 4,996 new COVID-19 cases statewide.

The state said there are 2,929 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, down 27 from Wednesday. 668 are in an intensive care unit, a drop of 10 from Wednesday.

In Clinton County 26 new cases were reported on Thursday, bringing the total to 4,789. Centre County saw an increase of 44 on Thursday to 20,291, while Lycoming County increased by 82 to 15,852.

The state Thursday reported 94 new deaths. The death count in Clinton County remained at 73.
