Monday deadline to register to vote

LOCK HAVEN, PA – State election officials note that Monday, Oct. 18 is the last date to register to vote in the Nov. 2 election; also that Tuesday, Oct. 26 is the last date to request a mail-in or absentee ballot.

Information on registering to vote or update a registration is available on the state and Clinton County websites or by calling the Piper Building office of county voter registrar Maria Boileau at 570-893-4011.

There are relatively few contested races across the county on Nov. 2. Current county treasurer Michelle Kunes and coroner Zach Hanna are both unopposed for new four-year terms. There is a race for mayor of Renovo involving incumbent Mayor Tommy Tarantella Jr. (D) and Gene Bruno (R). There are also a number of statewide judicial contests on the ballot.
