Clinton COVID cases spike
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday reported 5,012 new COVID-19 cases statewide, the highest one-day number in five days.
The state said there are 3,031 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, up 31 from Tuesday.
In Clinton County 33 new cases were reported on Wednesday, bringing the total to 4,621. The number of new daily cases in Clinton County ties the previous high this month, 33 on Oct. 3. Centre County saw an increase of 78 on Wednesday to 20,002, while Lycoming County increased by 58 to 15,316.
The state Wednesday reported 170 new deaths. The death count in Clinton County remained at 71.
