Come Out and Show Your Support!

By Christopher Miller

FARWELL – How far is 100 miles? On the afternoon of Thursday, September 30, Rhonda Cannon will have logged walking 100 miles.

Shared with The Record from friends who are close to Rhonda and this cause, it was reported that on Thursday, Rhonda will walk the last mile, marking #100, for a cause that is close to her heart; the Stop Soldier Suicide 100 Mile Challenge, which she pledged to complete for the month of September.

Rhonda will be doing the last mile of her walk beginning at 4:30pm Thursday afternoon starting and finishing at

Fred and Cheryl Wadsworth’s driveway, 820 Central Avenue in Farwell.

She encourages anyone who has supported her goal financially or in any way to come and walk the final mile with her, or to join at any part during the walk.

Borrowed from social media, “I loved doing this and am very humbled by the support I received. I will proudly carry our beautiful flag as I cross that finish line! God Bless America and I thank each and every active military soldier and all of our Veterans for their service and lift them in prayer every day!”

Rhonda formally started the walk challenge on September 1.
