Bucktail softball downs Neumann, 15-0
FARWELL, PA – Another game, another one-sided win for the Bucktail softball team. Tuesday it was by a 15-0 count over visiting St. John Neumann, a 4-inning game ended by the mercy rule.
Junior Emma Poorman continued her phenomenal start in the circle, going the four innings, giving up two hits, one walk, and striking out nine.
Meanwhile the Lady Buck batters hit and ran at will against Neumann, stealing nine bases and pounding out 14 hits. Jordan Burrows led the hitting, 3-for-3 with a triple and three stolen bases. Four Bucktail batters chipped in two singles each: Makenzie Wagner, Poorman, RaiLeigh Isaacs and Julie Green. Lily Francis had a double and singles came from Haley Burrows and Kayla Probert.
The game was scoreless through two innings, but Bucktail exploded for 12 in the third and three more in the fourth to end the game with the team’s fourth mercy rule win in four games.
Next up for Coach Mike Poorman’s team is a game at Muncy (2-2) on Thursday, first pitch at 4:30 p.m.
