COVID-19 Update: State Case Number Continues Drop; Clinton Up 15; Centre Up 26; Lyco Up 74

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health Monday confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., December 28, that there were 3,779 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 613,804. That is the smallest daily increase in cases in recent months.

As of 11:59 p.m. Sunday, December 27, there were 76 new deaths reported statewide for a total of 15,086 deaths attributed to COVID-19. The Clinton County death total due to COVID-19 remained at 22.

Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 15 to 1,850; Centre County, up 26 to 8,771; Lycoming up 74 to 5,674. Other area counties include Cameron, 135; Clearfield, 3,819; Potter, 559; and Union, 2,789.

Thus far 7,321 Clinton County residents have tested negative for COVID-19, up 22 from Sunday.
