Commissioners Put the Wraps on 2020
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Clinton County Commissioners are using this week to finish up 2020 business and prepare for 2021.
At a brief Monday work session, chief clerk Jann Meyers said Monday is the deadline for submission of a tax anticipation note to use in the new year. The bids will be opened and the successful bidder determined at their Thursday 10 a.m. meeting, their final session of 2020. The borrowing will be used in 2021 as needed as the county awaits 2021 tax money to flow in. The tax anticipation note process is used annually by the county.
The chief clerk also said the commissioners may be voting Thursday on a memorandum of understanding concerning an updated overtime policy at the Clinton County Correctional Facility; the overtime revision would cover correctional officers there. Meyers said the policy was being drawn up by prison management and the union there.
County offices will be closed Friday, Jan. 1. The commissioners will meet Monday, Jan. 4 for their annual reorganizational meeting, as required by law.
