Police Pick Up Homeless Man Sought in Renovo Area

RENOVO, PA – A “BOLO” (be on the lookout) for a homeless man observed in the Renovo area has been called off. The Friday online post followed an incident at Scoot’s Service Center in Renovo Thursday night. Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse Friday afternoon confirmed word that Lance C. Baker is in custody.

A witness said Baker was seen on the sidewalk along Erie Avenue with police on Friday afternoon. There has been no word since then as to his disposition.

The police posting earlier Friday read:

** BOLO – Caution: Wanted Person**
If you have information on the whereabouts of Lance C. BAKER, the homeless male that has been roaming around Renovo Borough the past few nights, please contact 911 immediately.
Please do NOT assist or attempt to detain this individual on your own.
PSP-Lamar is the lead agency on this case.
You can remain anonymous.

A Scoot’s official posted on social media that “an incident” occurred in the store Thursday around 10 p.m. The account said, “The homeless guy that everyone has been talking about who was wearing a dark hoodie, tan pants and carrying a dark backpack physically attacked the employee on duty. The employee is ok. The state police are involved and this is to let the community know to be aware that he is dangerous.”
