Free Coronavirus Testing in Clinton County: Three Days Down, Two to Go

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The first three days of a five-day run of free COVID-19 tests in Clinton County has been completed. So far, approximately 700 people have been tested at the test site at the Castanea Fire Company Picnic Grounds adjacent to Piper Memorial Airport.

Andrew Kremser, Clinton County Emergency Services Director, said through the first two days the drive-in/walk-thru site was very busy in the morning and lighter in the afternoon. He said Saturday saw a lighter but constant stream of traffic.

Kremser said his department is encouraging people to get tested, noting even though they may only be experiencing minimal if any symptoms. “We want to remind people that they don’t have to be showing symptoms to be tested.”

The daily tests have two days to go, Sunday and Monday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A 15-member crew from AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is on site, staffed with trained personnel, and is carrying out the tests, part of a contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to perform testing events throughout rural Pennsylvania.
