HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health COVID Data Dashboard Thursday said that as of 12:00 a.m., Dec.12, that statewide there were 11,972 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 457.289. The one-day total marks a new high.

The state reported an additional 248 deaths attributed to the coronavirus, the state total 12,010. The 248 figure is a new high for most deaths reported in one day.

Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 54 to 1,089; Centre County, up 118 to 7,194; Lycoming up 227 to 3,284. Other area counties include Cameron, 47; Clearfield, 2,490; Potter, 383; and Union, 2,039.

Thus far 6,351 Clinton County residents have tested negative for COVID-19, an increase of 48 from Wednesday.
