COVID-19 Update: Another New State Case Record; Clinton, Up 40; Centre, Up 94; Lyco, Up 150

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health COVID Data Dashboard Saturday said that as of 12:00 a.m., Dec. 5, that statewide there were a record 12,884 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 411,484. The previous one-day high had been 11,763 on Friday.

The state reported an additional 149 deaths attributed to the coronavirus, the state total 11,262.

Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 40 to 890; Centre County, up 94 to 6,753; Lycoming up 150 to 2,751. Other area counties include Cameron, 32; Clearfield, 2,121; Potter, 326; and Union, 1,870.

Thus far 6,235 Clinton County residents have tested negative for COVID-19, an increase of seven from Friday. Taken with the 40 new cases in the county, that means 40 of 47 county residents tested most recently tested positive for COVID-19.
